I’ll be driving down to LA for my permanent move later today and probably won’t get a chance to update until I settle in. By that time it’ll be the 4th of July which means it’s only a day from my birthday!!!

Cocktail Cart
I’ve been thinking about the different things I want to put in my new place since furniture isn’t going to be much of an issue. I figured I could splurge a little on some other pieces that I normally wouldn’t have. One of the things I’ve always longed to have was a little mini bar or cocktail cart so I could mix up fancy cocktails for guests…or well, let’s be real, me.
I saw this one on abeautifulmess.com a while ago and it’s been stuck on my mind ever since. I’ve been looking at cheap carts at IKEA or the Container Store and I’m really getting attached to the idea. One of the things on my “22 Things to do Before I turn 23” list is to learn to mix 5 different drinks. Wouldn't this cart look awesome with some mason jars and fun straws? Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself...

Finally Housed!
Today, I am finally proud to say that I have a place to live for the upcoming year and will not be living in a tent on the beach. Hurrah! After a week of disappointing finds and finding out the place I had lined up was not in the best area for a girl living by herself, I decided to journey once more down to the LA area and do a bit more searching. To prep, I signed up on PadMapper and looked through the listings to compile a list of almost 20 different places to potentially visit. I guess the hardest part for me was coming to the realization that I would have to fork over a little more of my paycheck in order to get a nicer and safer location. Luckily my hard work paid off and I’m now going to be settled in a little guesthouse studio in Redondo Beach!
The place comes pretty much full furnished, which is awesome because that means I won’t have to move my own couch and bed and whatnot down there. That would be a nightmare. I’ll be moving in a little dresser and bookshelf and mostly my clothes but it’s just going to be so much easier than moving my whole life down there.

It’s so cute and has a little nautical theme already built it and these awesome huge windows, which means there will be plenty of natural light. I can’t wait to move in and make it more my own. Wish me luck and if you’re in the area, drop by and say hi!
