Bedtime Stories

Two nights ago, as we were turning in, Bedtime Stories was playing on TV and we decided to keep it on and watch it. “Bedtime Stories” is a cute little movie starring Adam Sandler in a not potty humorous and not lewd way. I’m not the biggest fan of Adam Sandler but this movie always melts my heart. Adam Sandler plays a hotel handy man and has to look after his sister’s kids for a week. He tells them fantastical bedtime stories and some of the parts actually end up coming true! The thing about this movie that struck me the most is the finale where Adam Sandler’s character, Skeeter Bronson, is making a presentation about a new theme for the hotel. He says something to the effect of,
"Some people try and make hotels seem like homes but if you wanted to be at home, you should just stay home. Instead a hotel should be a getaway, an adventure, and somewhere you can go to escape from the normalties of life."
Something like that. Not exactly his words but you get the gist. I fully intend to use my vacation here in Hawaii to escape into its paradise!

If you haven't watched Bedtime Stories, it's a great movie if you're in a nostalgic mood and want to relive childhood fantasies!
